The Centre for Artificial Intelligence Technology (CAIT) has established the Autonomous Robot and Vision System (ARViS) Lab to officially replace the current Robot Soccer Lab which was founded in 2009. The lab is equipped with a variety of robotic systems (Humanoid: DARWIN-OP, Bioloid GP, Bioloid Premium and Wheeled-robot INOVA and Merlin Systems) and focuses on various autonomous application.

Our vision is to create robotic and vision system that are able to autonomously operate in robust environment and to be a referred as research lab in autonomous robotics and robot soccer.

Our objectives are to provide a beneficial research ecosystem for autonomous robotics researcher, to be an excellent platform for the faculty to produce innovation and industry endowments, and to foster students’ enthusiasm for programming through a competition-based environment.
